When space is limited or flexible battery shapes are required, so-called lithium polymer batteries or pouch cells are used. Instead of a steel cell housing, plastic-aluminium foils hold the battery pack together. Our range of services includes the design-in of customised lithium polymer batteries, including the necessary protective circuitry.
We supply the right charging technology for every battery pack. When charging lithium-ion cells, we pay attention to optimum parameters. We develop our own chargers or recommend standardised chargers. Battery management systems (BMS) are the state of the art for operating battery packs with several individual cells. A protective circuit prevents overcharging, deep discharge and overcurrent in the event of a fault. Controlled balancing keeps all cells at the same level.
